Our courses are taught by our friendly tutors, and are taught through distance learning and digital learning opportunities.

This pathway covers units on archaeology and ancient history from the Greeks to the Romans.  Its focus is on what archaeology can tell us about those time periods and how this exciting hands on approach can help develop new understanding of our past.  Progression into straight or dual honours degrees within archaeology and history based undergraduate programmes are achievable from this pathway.

Business Access to HE

This pathway includes units on business organisations, marketing and leadership.  It aims to give a comprehensive understanding of the business world and will facilitate learners to progress onto undergraduate programmes in business, marketing and management.

This pathway explores the relationship between business and finance and offers units in managing a budget, business accounts and economic models and concepts. It will also engage in management and how to manage change and staff. 

Business & Law Access to HE

Business & Law

This pathway crosses over two key disciplines, that of law and business.  The former area covers units such as company and employment law, whilst the latter explores issues of business ethics, marketing and how to motivate staff.  Upon completing this pathway learners can expect to progress onto undergraduate programmes across the disciplines of law and business.

This pathway will facilitate learners to progress onto undergraduate programmes in nursing, health and biology.  The units covered range from Health care in Modern Britain to the Musculoskeletal System and you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the human body, its functions and how that might relate to modern heath care.

This comprehensive pathway focuses on health with units such as physiology in sports, sexual health and ethical issues in health.  It also encompasses a very strong sports elements in order for the learner to explore cardio-respiratory responses to exercise and developing sports skills.  Learners from this pathway can expect to progress into undergraduate programmes in sport, exercise, health and biology. 

Teaching Access to HE

This pathway explores a comprehensive view of the teaching profession from classroom management, assessment strategies and education policy.  It expects learners to engage in a teaching placement, which is essential for progression, and already have English, Maths and Science at GCSE level.  Learners from this Access to Higher Education course can pursue undergraduate programmes in primary education, early years and teaching with QTS.
