Enable is proud to present our latest project running from our branch in Kettering! We have two new members of staff joining us especially for this 5 year project – Paul and Amanda – who are excited to get this project off the ground!

Are you 17-24 years old, living in Northamptonshire (Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and East Northants) , unemployed with feelings of social isolation? Then please get in touch with us and apply to join us on this project!

Through closely working with either Paul or Amanda, you will be encouraged to develop your skills in various aspects to help you get into Education, Employment or Voluntary Work. We will work with you to build your confidence, increase your interest in the society around you and get you into education, employment and volunteer work.

Research conducted by ONS found that:

Almost 10% of people aged 16 to 24 reported always or often feeling lonely – the highest proportion of any age group!

This was more than three times higher than people aged 65 and over, who are traditionally perceived as most at risk from the negative impacts of isolation.

Your mentor will work with you individually to assess what training and mentoring you will benefit most from, as well as some group work to get you learning more social interaction and team work skills. Together, we can work together to make your future brighter.
